PVC foam is used for the core in the manufacture of sandwich structures. It occupies a unique position in the international market for composite materials for several reasons :
• Foam with closed cells with a three dimensional network structure which gives it high dimensional and thermal stability ;
• Excellent mechanical properties. The insulation values are constant due to the highly accurate control of the expansion process, which enables cells which are 100 % closed and impermeable to be obtained ;
• Does not support combustion and extinguishes itself spontaneously :
Fire classification M1 ;
• Does not include any Freon gas ;
• Resistant to hydrocarbons, alkalis, diluted acids, methyl alcohol, sea water, petrol and diesel fuel, and can be used with polyester, vinylester and epoxy resins ;
• Contains no CFCs.

Use

Internal fitting out of boats, for partitions and doors, combining lightness, insulation and rigidity. When weight is the enemy, these panels present many advantages : higher speed, improved autonomy, higher payload and reduced fuel consumption.

Description

PVC foam sandwiched between two plywood panels 3 mm thick. This panel improves the mechanical properties considerably, while maintaining a lightened structure.

Gluing

The floor panels satisfy the strictest international regulations :
Class II in accordance with European standards.
